Youth Congress convenes; all students welcome
Calling all Douglas County high schoolers … The Youth Congress (pictured above) brings adults and students together to discuss issues that affect today’s teens.
The Douglas County School District invites all high schoolers to attend Youth Congress, an event that brings adults and students together to discuss issues that affect today’s teens. This year’s topics include mental health, youth criminal justice, pressure to succeed, school safety, dogs in schools, youth voice, finances and trade school.
The event is Friday, October 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Legacy Campus in Parker, 10035 S. Peoria Street. Participants must register at douglas.co.us/youth-initiatives/youth-congress.
