Young optometrist of the year award recipient

Dr. Jason Ortman

Submitted by Castle Pines Eye Care

Dr. Jason Ortman was named the Colorado Optometric Association’s “Young Optometrist of the Year” in July. This is an annual award given to a member who has been in optometric practice for ten years or fewer. The award selection is based upon public service, the visual welfare of the general public, optometry and the Colorado Optometric Association (COA).

Dr. Ortman received the award at the COA’s conference in July in Steamboat Springs. The COA is the professional organization of optometrists in Colorado. This group includes more than 500 Colorado doctors of optometry who are voluntary members of the association.

Since 1892, the COA has assisted its members in providing the highest standard of professional care to their patients. It sponsors continuing education programs for doctors, advocates in local and state governments for programs and legislation that represent patients’ best interests, and provides information to assist doctors in a variety of clinical settings. The COA remains committed to representing future generations of optometrists as they provide the most current eye care to Colorado’s citizens.

Congratulations Dr. Ortman on a job well done!
