Wildlife Reminder
Castle Pines North (CPN) is home to a unique abundance of wildlife. As the spring weather approaches, please remember to use caution with small children and pets while outdoors. Last summer, numerous mountain lions were spotted in the community. In addition, it is illegal in Colorado to place or distribute food for coyotes or foxes in urban areas where the discharge of firearms is not allowed. Although attacks by coyotes and foxes are very rare, research by the Colorado Division of Wildlife shows that most injuries to humans are usually related to habituated coyotes and foxes that have been previously fed by humans. Please do not feed wildlife in CPN.
