What’s Up With the Beverly Hills Signs at the I-25 Exits?
With the completion of the new bridge at I-25 and Castle Pines Parkway came new green directional signs at the end of exit ramps. Many residents are wondering why the signs include directions to Beverly Hills, a community with only 74 homes, but not the larger Castle Pines North community.
“A sign listing Beverly Hills was there before the construction began at the I-25 and Castle Pines Parkway interchange three years ago, so the same sign was re-installed when the construction was completed,” says Nabil Haddad of the Colorado Department of Transportation, (CDOT).
According to Haddad, Beverly Hills is the oldest neighborhood in unincorporated Douglas County. “The interchange was actually named Beverly Hills before it was Castle Pines North,” said Haddad.
