Grace spent a handful of her adolescent years with her wonderful parents and siblings living in Parker. After high school, she moved to Southern California where she pursued writing and theater. The dreamer’s mentality led Grace to wonderful adventures abroad, down countless paths, and into friendships with people from all walks of life. For Grace, writing is a passion, and she believes expressing and experiencing the human condition through the art of storytelling, writing or otherwise, is kind of what this whole journey is all about.
Post earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and becoming a new mother, Grace and baby Ella have called Castle Pines home since summer 2023. Grace enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, and any activity with her sister, Christine. Grace is excited to explore Colorado again, but this time around with Ella at her side.
Susan Helton

A Colorado native, Susan has lived in Castle Pines since 1999. She shares her home with her husband of more than 30 years, their daughters, and two cats: a torbie Manx-mix and a tuxedo. Susan holds a master’s degree in Technical Communication from the University of Colorado Denver.
Susan joined The Connection staff in 2017 and, after taking some time away, returns to our editorial team. She enjoys writing and has produced materials ranging from software users’ guides to a homeschool group’s handbooks and co-op class catalogs. Susan is a volunteer proofreader for the Project Gutenberg archive and an indie author. For fun, she loves to spend time with family and friends, play games, camp and hike in the mountains, craft and read.
