Voter Registration Deadline October 8

by Terri Wiebold

Individuals who wish to participate in the Douglas County coordinated election on November 6, MUST be registered to vote by October 8, 2007.

Residents in Douglas County can register to vote at the Castle Rock, Parker, or Larkspur town halls, or at the Douglas County Clerk and Recorder’s Office at the county administration building, 301 Wilcox Street in Castle Rock. Voters can also register at the deputy registrar’s office at Douglas County, Ponderosa, Thunder Ridge, Chaparal, Highlands Ranch, Rock Canyon, or Mountain Vista High Schools. Under Colorado’s “Motor Voter” law, residents can register at the driver’s license office as well.

Voter registration can also be done by mail; forms are available at all libraries and government-associated offices, or online at www.elections.colorado.gov. Voting information can be obtained by calling the Douglas County election office at 303-660-7444.

The decision whether to incorporate as a city is a pivotal one, and one which requires the collective voice of the entire community. All active registered voters in CPN will be eligible to vote on the issue of incorporation.

Residents who wish to verify their election eligibility and status should call 303-660-7444.
