Visiting the Rockies Spring Training in Scottsdale
The Colorado Rockies enjoyed warm weather at Spring Training in Arizona as they prepared for the upcoming 2024 regular season.
Colorado players have been working out in Scottsdale since mid-February. They share a complex with the Arizona Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale.
The Rockies hosted the Chicago Cubs on March 21. It was a great Spring Break getaway from the snow for many in Douglas County as well. The stadium gates opened an hour before the game started, giving fans time to interact with their favorite players and ask for autographs. Onlookers enjoyed observing from the popular lawn area in the outfield. The grass is open seating on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Cubs beat the Rockies, 5-2 in front of a sold out crowd of more than 11,000 fans.
The Colorado Rockies regular season began on March 28 at the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rockies home opener will be on April 5 against the Tampa Bay Rays at Coors Field.
