Hidden in the Village Shops at Castle Pines is one of the Denver area’s pre-eminent law firms specializing in family law. The law firm of Cox Baker & Page was founded in 2006, and serves its clients in matters of divorce, post-divorce issues, adoptions, and all other matters related to families.

Partners Mary Jane Cox, Mary Baker and Laura Page are all graduates of the University of Denver School of Law, and they live locally with their families. Cox and Baker are the original founders of the firm and were well-established in the Denver law community when they decided to branch out on their own and start their own firm. They chose to base their office close to their homes in the beautiful Castle Pines setting, which is also convenient to the Douglas County Court House. Page was referred to them through mutual acquaintances, and in 2007 the firm of Cox Baker & Page was formalized.

Cox, Baker and Page all truly enjoy being a part of the local community. “We all love working so close to our homes,” remarked Page. “Additionally, people come into our office dealing with very emotional issues, and the drive down Happy Canyon is so beautiful and our office is so relaxing, I think it really helps to put them at ease.”

During the last couple of years, the firm experienced tremendous growth and the partners added several new attorneys in order to round out their practice.

Attorney Nathan Dowell joined the firm in 2010, and brings an expertise to cases requiring mediation. Attorney Anne Gill is a prestigious attorney who brings years of experience to the firm, including a strong focus on appellate law, in which cases are brought before the Court of Appeals. Attorney Darius Dugas has practiced family law for a number of years and also has expertise in bankruptcy law, which often coincides with divorces and other situations. Lastly, Attorney Jane Cox is a recently-licensed attorney who worked for a number of years as a paralegal at the firm.

Page and the other attorneys at the firm are very involved in the local community. “We really enjoy being a part of the community we practice in,” said Page. She volunteers her time with the local Douglas-Elbert County High School Mock Trial Club, and Dugas recently joined the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce in order to further involve himself in the local community. The firm is well recognized in the Denver metro area, with partner Mary Jane Cox being recently recognized as one of the top twenty-five female attorneys in Colorado.

New associate attorney Jane Cox feels that her firm differentiates itself from others by using a very friendly approach. “We take a very personal approach with our clients in order to find the most creative solutions to make the proceedings as easy as possible. We want our clients to know they will be taken care of and their interests will be protected.”

The firm works diligently to match its clients with the best representative possible. Potential clients share their backgrounds before being matched appropriately. Cox explained, “Our wide range of personalities allows our clients to choose the right lawyer with whom they will have a good rapport.”
