Village Homes Announces “The Crossings”
by Lisa Crockett
A new neighborhood called “The Crossings” is slowly taking shape at the corner of Monarch Boulevard and Castle Pines Parkway on the land known as CC-20. The residential portion of the development, which is on the northern half of the property, will soon consist of 20 patio homes and 27 town homes.
Infrastructure and necessary road improvements have been ongoing throughout the fall, and construction on the homes should begin late this year, or early next year. A sales trailer will come to the site soon, and models will likely be available for viewing sometime early in 2008.
“We plan to have a trailer on the property to do pre-sales by the end of the year,” said Village Homes Community Advisor, Boots Safford. Patio home floor plans will be from the “Garden” collection and town homes from the “Club” collection. To view the site plan, visit www.villagehomes.com.
The southern half of the property, which will eventually be home to the commercial and retail portion of the development, is prepared for construction. As of press time, no tenants have been signed.
“After hearing the outcome of the election with regard to the library, things are up in the air at this point. Obviously, this could change things,” said Bill Jenkins, representative for the Laramie Company, the real estate broker for the parcel.
The library was to be the “anchor” tenant for the commercial area, and the impact of not having a library is unknown. The library ballot measure on the November 6 ballot was defeated by 208 votes.
