Vandalism Occurs at The Ridge Golf Course
In early August, The Ridge golf course experienced damaging vandalism to the eighth green. According to Darrell Fuston, general manager and director of The Ridge golf course, the perpetrator, in very apparent deliberation, hacked the green with a golf club causing extensive damage.
Fuston reports that most vandalism that occurs is minor in damage and often takes place after the course has closed. People walk their dogs, practice soccer, and erect volleyball nets. These acts seem insignificant, but they do cause a liability for the course.
The Ridge does provide visual open space for the Castle Pines North community, but it is private property. Residents are urged to not use the course as a walking trail, or as an open dog park.
The Ridge enhances CPN with a renowned public golf course and offers discounts on green fees for residents. In addition, the Ridge Restaurant offers three meals a day and features patio seating.
