TTE’s Timber Team seeks clothing donations
Students on the Timber Team, Timber Trail Elementary’s student council, are collecting clothing, shoes, and other household items in a bin like this one. During the month of April, they are competing with other local organizations to see who can collect the most donations. Donations may be dropped off at any time.

The Timber Team, Timber Trail Elementary School’s (TTE) version of a student council, is hosting a clothing drive at the school for the month of April. In partnership with Red Apple Recycling, TTE is collecting clean clothing, shoes, household textiles, toys, stuffed animals, belts, purses, and backpacks. Donations can be dropped of to the Red Apple Recycling donation bin any time, which is a distinctive “little red school house” style structure located on the east side of the school.
The Timber Team will receive a small financial reward for every pound of donations they collect, and will be in the running for a larger reward in a competition with other organizations hosting their own drives. Any money the team receives will be used to fund school programs.
“The things we collect will be given to people who are less fortunate,” said fifth grader Avery Dyer. “This is a way we can serve the community.”
