An upcoming fundraiser at Timber Trail Elementary has a serious purpose – to raise funds for Timber Trail programs as well as a charitable donation to a Denver elementary school. The move-a-thon is also about health and fitness and features multiple activity stations that students will participate in to raise funds. But that doesn’t mean that the organizers or faculty are taking themselves too seriously.
To get students excited about the effort, the school hosted an assembly that featured faculty members participating in various sample activities – teachers jumping rope and the principal working a hula hoop were popular, but the tricycle race between teachers Tony Greene, Nick Newman and TTE’s building engineer Kevin Hall was the event’s biggest hit.
Students will solicit family and friends to provide sponsorships for their participation and kids who raise money are eligible for prizes ranging from bouncy balls to electronics.
Event sponsorships are available. If you own a business or work for a company that might be interested in being a sponsor or making a donation, please visit https://www.TimberTrailParents.org/go/cpconnection.
