Timber Trail Students Head Back to School in July
Watch for school buses in the Castle Pines North community in early July. Timber Trail Elementary (TTE) has officially switched to a four-track calendar and students will be heading back to school this year in July.
TTE has projected more than 600 students for the 2006-2007 school year and will have four tracks this year. The school will also have two “C” tracks for Kindergarten through second grades. Tracks A, C and D will begin classes on Tuesday, July 7. Students on B track will have a slightly longer summer break and will start classes on Tuesday, July 25 when C track begins its break.
Timber Trail opened its doors with a traditional calendar in fall of 2003. To avoid switching to a four-track calendar last year, TTE moved the sixth grade class to Rocky Heights Middle School. The continued population growth north of Castle Pines Parkway created the need to move to a four-track calendar this year. For a complete 2006-07 school schedule, go to www1.dcsdk12.org/ResourceLibrary/0607Calendar.pdf.
