There is more than reading at the library
Information provided by Douglas County Libraries
Brought to you by Page to Stage productions, this year’s opening performance of “Peter Pan,” the classic fantasy tale of a faraway land, pirates, and a boy unwilling to grow up, will be hosted by Douglas County Libraries – Castle Pines in partnership with the Front Range Theater Company. The free performance will be on Wednesday, April 11 at 6 p.m.
The performance of Peter Pan will kickoff the 2018 summer reading program that will run June 2 through July 30. A great way to get kids excited about reading, the party is on Saturday, June 2 at Douglas County Libraries – Castle Pines.
A fun after-hours free event that celebrates all things space, Space Ball will be at Douglas County Library – Castle Pines on May 4
– May the “Fourth” be with you. This family fun event will feature food, crafts, games and costumes, all within our own galaxy.
Another free series scheduled at the Castle Pines location that might be of interest is a six-part series called “The Principles of Xeriscape.” Craig Miller from the Castle Pines North Metropolitan District will teach classes that cover the basics of a xeric yard and garden design. Held Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the series will run from April 26 through May 31.
