There is a Solicitor at the Door
Castle Pines North residents can avoid unwelcome solicitors by simply placing a “no solicitation” sign near the doorbell. If the doorbell still rings, make sure to keep a locked barrier in front of the solicitor. Ask to see the solicitor registration card from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO). According to the DCSO, any person engaged in door-to-door selling of merchandise or goods in unincorporated Douglas County is required to register at the DCSO Records Unit. Violation of this ordinance is a Class 2 petty offense punishable by a fine of up to $600. Non-profit organizations are exempt from this ordinance. Report any suspicious activity to the DCSO at 303-660-7505.
