The wonder of the season through the Forest of Stories

variety of trees decorated different themes

To wonder and wander into the spirit of the season and to see some incredible Christmas trees transformed into literary masterpieces, head to Douglas County Libraries (DCL).

Seven of the DCL locations – Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Roxborough, Parker, Louviers, Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree – are hosting a Forest of Stories.

DCL will feature approximately 150 trees decorated based on inspirations from classic children’s literature stories to mysteries, movies, popular entertainers and more.  With themes ranging from legends like Dolly Parton and the hilarious Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to timeless masterpieces like Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Where the Wild Things Are and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, the trees will line the DCL halls until January 6.

“We were so captivated by the creativity last year that we wanted to make sure to feature the event this year,” said Connection Editor Hollen Wheeler.  “It showcases the magic of the season.”
