“We value our place in the neighborhood, and we want to be a part of this community.”

Whether dining in the rustic yet elegant dining room, or enjoying the breath taking views from the outdoor patio, The Ridge Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing and upscale dining experience in Castle Pines North (CPN).

Conveniently located at 1414 Castle Pines Parkway, the restaurant is open from mid March through the end of October. It offers breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., and lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Its “country-club” fare features excellent steaks, salads, pastas, and burgers, to name a few, and prices range anywhere from $8 to $25 – depending upon the meal. The restaurant is open to the public, and CPN residents receive a 10 percent discount on dining in or on carry-out service if mentioned.

This resident-friendly restaurant is a popular breakfast location, but has recently expanded its dinner menu to include couples dining for two with an emphasis on a more sophisticated dining atmosphere, both inside the dining room and on the patio. Menu items include steak, featured fish, and surf & turf, with a variety of wines to compliment each meal.

“We offer a fairly unique dining experience – different from what else is available in the community,” said general manager of four years Darrell Fuston. “We want residents to know we are up here and that we welcome everyone.”

The restaurant accommodates 53 in the dining room and 88 on the popular patio. Reservations are not required, but are recommended and are somewhat limited for busy holiday occasions like Easter Sunday and Mother’s Day brunch. On special occasions, the restaurant will feature something for the entire family, including a kid’s menu (not otherwise available.)

The Ridge at Castle Pines North, Troon Golf, Colorado Style

by Terri Wiebold

The Ridge at Castle Pines North Golf Course (The Ridge) is a Troon Golf Managed Facility, and is Colorado’s premier upscale public 18-hole course. For avid golfers, Troon Golf speaks for itself. For those unfamiliar or new to the sport, Troon Golf represents the world’s leading luxury-brand golf management, development and marketing company. Troon Golf is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, with international offices in Hong Kong, Australia, Switzerland and Dubai. It features 185 courses in 30 states and in 22 countries.

The Ridge, with its exclusive Tom Weiskopf design, is one of only two Troon Golf courses in Colorado, and has received national and statewide recognition since opening in 1997. It has consistently been voted the number one upscale public golf facility in Colorado by the state’s two leading golf publications, and has received praise from Biz Colorado magazine for its corporate events. It is a par 71 challenge, playing from four sets of tees ranging from 5,000 yards to more than 7,000 yards, and it is maintained to the highest of standards.

According to head golf pro Brett Cundall, the quality of the facility and the outstanding customer service are what set The Ridge apart from other public golf courses. “Our country club feel and our friendly staff make everyone feel like they are a member for the day,” said Cundall. “Whether you are dining in the restaurant, shopping in the pro shop, or playing our spectacular course, we want you to feel at home.”

The Ridge is open for play Monday through Sunday from mid March to mid November, depending on the weather. Individual or group instruction for all levels is available seven days a week, with junior camps and clubs available during the summer months.

Come and play for the day, or for frequent visitors to The Ridge, annual passes, season ticket books, and range passes are all available for purchase at discounted rates. “This is a good deal for individual players, but a smokin’ deal for families,” said General Manager Darrell Fuston. For specifics about passes, visit The Ridge website at www.theridgecpn.com.
