The Connection was red carpet ready!

This full-length gown was created solely out of pages from The Castle Pines Connection’s first black and white issue in 2009.  Thank you to the Douglas/Elbert Task Force for loaning us the mannequin and to Cindy Cranstone for creating a gorgeous and memorable table!

Preparations for the Chamber of Commerce annual banquet began months ago with the announcement of this year’s theme – Hollywood Nights, and The Connection staff was excited.

Paying homage to our newspaper roots (The Connection was black and white for the first year it was in publication), we decided that “Black & White and Read All Over” would be a fun and unique way to tie our business into the theme and also celebrate the quintessential glamour of old classic Hollywood.

And what Hollywood night would be complete without a little … make that a lot of SWAG? Connecting with and promoting other businesses is an important aspect of our trade, as The Connection is 100 percent funded by advertising dollars.  Many of our business partners wanted in on the action and helped to create fabulous swag bags of products to get our table guests red carpet ready for their next big event.

Special thanks to the following business partners for contributing to our swag bag, donating items that were a representation of the products/services they provide to help you get red carpet ready:  Bobbie Brown Cosmetics, Bubbles Liquor World, Castle Pines Jewelers, Castle Rock EyeWear, Chateau Liquors, Clinique, Copperfalls Aveda Spa and Salon, Cornzapoppin, Dillard’s Park Meadows, Essie Nail Polish, Etcetera, GreenEarth Cleaners, King Soopers – Castle Pines, LipBar Custom Cosmetics, Nordstrom Park Meadows, Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, Rocket Fizz – Highlands Ranch, Stogies & Bogeys, The Art of Shaving, The Robusto Room, The Woodhouse Day Spa, and Walgreens – Castle Pines.
