The Castle Pines Connection is going monthly!

Submitted by Terri Wiebold, Owner

As you read this, the fifth issue of The Castle Pines Connection community newspaper, plans are already underway for our transition to a monthly publication.

Beginning in January 2010, The Castle Pines Connection will be delivered to homes and businesses in the Castle Pines community every month!

Thank you to all who provided e-mail feedback regarding the transition and for your overwhelming support. Your request for a more frequent source of community news, combined with our advertisers’ desire to reach you more often, has confirmed the decision to go to a monthly publication.

This latest change is just one of many the paper has undergone since becoming a privately-owned and operated business entity in January of 2009.

No longer is your local community newspaper funded through homeowner’s dues or paid for by the Castle Pines North Master Association.

The Castle Pines Connection is funded solely by local businesses and advertisers; please continue to support them and let them know you appreciate their participation in keeping the community informed.

Other changes to the paper include an increased distribution to more than 7,500 printed copies. The Castle Pines Connection is direct mailed to nearly 7,000 homes and local businesses, including Castle Pines Village, the City of Castle Pines North, and the communities of Surrey Ridge, Charter Oaks, Beverly Hills, Oak Hills, and Surrey Ridge Estates.

The paper is also mailed to area businesses and restaurants outside of our distribution area. In addition, we hand deliver the paper to Douglas County government offices, local schools and churches, and many restaurants and coffee houses in the surrounding area. Extra copies are also made available at the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce.

As we approach our one-year anniversary, we welcome your input and feedback. The Castle Pines Connection newspaper, website, and e-mail alert system are “The Voice of the Castle Pines Community,” and as such should be a reflection of what you as residents and as business owners in the community want it to be.

We look forward to sharing your stories more frequently in 2010, and hope for your continued interest and support!

E-mail contact by e-mail or call 303-785-6520 and share your thoughts with us. Your comments may be posted on our website and may even be included in the next issue of the paper.
