Amelia SahngEun Lee just finished the fifth grade at Timber Trail Elementary and is looking forward to starting middle school at Rocky Heights.
This summer has also brought other new beginnings – the sixth grader, who studies TaeKwonDo under the tutelage of her father, local business owner Grand Master Han Lee, decided to broaden her horizons and took up the game of golf.
“I started golfing about a year and a half ago,” said Amelia. “I really like everything about golf. It’s relaxed and helps me with focus and concentration.”
Amelia entered her first golf tournaments this summer, and was almost immediately successful, taking third place in her first two tournaments and first place in tournaments at South Suburban in Centennial and Broken Tee in Englewood.
“Golf is a good game to play as you get older,” said Amelia. “It’s just fun.”
