WHAT: Telephone Access to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Limited: Main Quest Routing Line Down

NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and areas within Castle Rock are experiencing telephone problems due to a main Qwest telephone routing line that is down. All 10-digit lines to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Robert Christensen Justice Center are non-functional at this time. Emergency 911 lines are functional and we are asking the public to only utilize 911 for emergencies.
It is unknown at this time on the duration of the outage, and county residents are being asked to wait to report nonemergent calls for service until the 10 digit lines are functional. If residents need to contact the Sheriff’s Office (Non-Emergent), our main telephone line of 303-660-7500 has been forwarded to our Lincoln Hills Sub-station and will be answered by Sheriff’s Office personnel. Once telephone lines have been re-established, an updated press release will be issued.
