Teamwork makes the dream work

DCS Montessori middle school students kicked off the 2021-2022 school year with outdoor teambuilding activities focused on teamwork and communication. Activities that included a blindfolded obstacle course, human knots, and flip the blanket encouraged students to work as a team while learning each individual leadership style.

While standing on a blanket, DCS Montessori middle school students learned to communicate and individually lead one another as they flipped the blanket without stepping off.

Teach me and I’ll remember.
Involve me and I’ll learn.”

The human knot game was a wonderful ice breaker for the DCSM middle school students. Working together the students formed a human knot by connecting their hands together then, working as a team, unraveled themselves from one another without breaking the chain.
