Lindsay and Chris Crosby have always been drawn to the feel of a smaller community –one where kids can ride their bikes to school and run down to the neighborhood park. A community where friends and neighbors gather to meet at the local coffee shop and one where the outdoor recreational activities are endless. Outdoor enthusiasts, golf fans and business partners, the Crosbys found their ideal home in Castle Pines.
Growing up in Southern California, Chris loved the ocean and spent his childhood days swimming and surfing, but he always carried a deep love for the mountains. Family ski trips brought Chris to the slopes of California, Utah and Colorado. His greatest adventure was the opportunity to travel the world producing ski and snowboard films. Across the coast, Lindsay stayed active and busy on the sandy shores of Kailua, Oahu with her winemaking business, Oeno Winemaking.
Post college Montana State, Lindsay worked in real estate at Keller Williams Montana Realty. It was Lindsay’s Montana hometown friends living in Boulder that made her consider the move to Colorado. An opportunity within Chris’ California title business presented itself, and Chris relocated to Colorado. The Crosby Team of RE/MAX Professionals was established in 2012, not long after the couple met.
In 2017, the Crosbys packed up their Greenwood Village home of four years and moved to Castle Pines. They love the feeling of being removed from the hustle while surrounded by everyday essentials and community members. Previous neighbors Jenn and Matt Duran love the Crosbys’ inspiration, enthusiastic personalities and involvement in the neighborhood and are excited for them and the new doors that have recently opened for the Crosbys in Castle Pines.
Lindsay has always been active with a particular love for group fitness. In 2018, Lindsay officially entered the fitness industry with her first certification Les Mills BodyStep, followed by three additional Les Mills certifications and now CycleBar. As a new instructor at the CycleBar Castle Pines, Lindsay was devastated when its doors had to close. Business savvy and passionate about her group classes and students, the Crosbys purchased CycleBar Castle Pines and reopened its doors in March, making CycleBar the second Team Crosby business.
There are many perks and rewards of owning one’s own business. The failures can be hard at times, but to know you have a community of support is beyond gratifying and there is no greater reward than that, Lindsay commented.
The biggest challenge of owning any business is finding that balance between business, family, recreation and life. The Crosbys find balance with their 5-year-old son, Hudson, enjoying ski staycations at their Breckenridge condo along with rounds of weekend golf. The Crosbys really enjoy playing The Ridge, and after a few lessons, Hudson will be joining Team Crosby on the greens with hopes to one day be playing in St. Andrews, Scotland.
