Taste of Timber Trail a Fundraising Success

The second annual “Taste of Timber Trail” was a fundraising success for Timber Trail Elementary School. The Timber Trail Educational Alliance (TTEA), along with staff and volunteers, raised more than $8,000 to support the science and reading programs at Timber Trail.

With the help of more than 70 volunteers, Castle Pines North residents supported a local school and attended a carnival all in one stop. Many local high school students gave their time and earned community service hours while helping run games and booths at the carnival.

A live disc jockey provided music and set the mood for the festivities. Children jumped in bounce houses, had their faces painted and tried their hand at the dunk tank. And what would a carnival be without cotton candy? Thanks to Solid Life Christian Church, there was plenty on hand and all proceeds were donated to the school.

With such a large turnout for the event, the TTEA was able to start out the 2005-2006 school year with a great boost for their programs. Thanks to all the volunteers that worked to make this event a success.
