Task Force receives funding for much-needed equipment
Information provided by the Douglas/Elbert Task Force.
The Douglas/Elbert Task Force received $8,540 from the Food Bank of the Rockies for the purchase of a new walk-in cooler to support its food bank program. The new refrigerator will increase the Task Force’s capacity to store additional refrigerated items, such as dairy products and fresh produce that will stay fresh for clients and not go to waste.
The Task Force is grateful for the generous funding provided by the Food Bank of the Rockies. Other outstanding community supporters assisted with the donation. Moore Lumber & Hardware Company provided the staff and forklifts that enabled the safe unloading of the refrigerator, and Will Falcone of Falcone Refrigeration Service provided a portable refrigerator until the permanent refrigerator was received. Mr. Falcone with the help of a few friends was instrumental in the assembly and installation of the cooler.
“We are so grateful to everyone who has contributed their time and effort on our behalf,” affirmed Task Force personnel. “None of this would have been possible without the generous gift from Food Bank of the Rockies.”
