Taking advantage of the “empty nester” years

While we spend an entire lifetime building memories, the timeline for checking items off our “bucket list” seems to be accelerated as we enter the later chapters in our lives.

Castle Pines residents Debbi and Travis Haynie experienced that acceleration – literally – at Bandimere Speedway for the jet car races and spectacular fireworks show on July 4.

“Thank you [Castle Pines Connection] for the great tickets; Travis and I had a ball!” wrote Debbi following the event. “We have lived here for almost 20 years and always wanted to go to Bandimere Speedway. Since the kids are grown now, we are living our ‘empty nester dream’ and experiencing all the wonderful things Colorado has to offer.”

The Haynies are one of hundreds of families who have won free tickets to event venues in Colorado, including the Colorado Renaissance Festival, the Denver Auto Show, the Home & Garden Show, the 1940s Ball and many, many others. This month, we gave away tickets to Taste of Douglas County, A Taste of Colorado and additional tickets to Bandimere Speedway.
