T- Mobile Breaks Ground at Community Center

by Terri Wiebold

After months of planning and preparation, T-Mobile has begun construction of a new cellular tower at the Castle Pines North Community Center, located at the corner of Yorkshire Drive and Castle Pines Parkway.

“We finally have everything approved and I am pleased we were able go forward with the flag pole design the Castle Pines North Community originally wanted,” said Mikel Whitney, Senior Planner for the Douglas County Planning and Community Development Department. “Seeing this project near completion before I leave my position with the County brings me great satisfaction,” he continued.

Area Development Manager for T-Mobile, Darcy Rushing-Estes, confirmed the building permits had been pulled and estimated a 30-day completion time after initial ground breaking – which began June 1. Providing there are no unexpected delays, the tower could be completed in early July, perhaps even in time to fly “Old Glory” from it on July 4.
