Summer Movie Pick Announced – Event Planned for August 9

by Elean Gersack

Bring the kids, sleeping bags, and flashlights to a Castle Pines North (CPN) summer family tradition – Summer Movie in the Park. This year’s event will feature the G-rated film, “Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium.”

This whimsical story features a 243-year-old proprietor of the strangest, most fantastic, most wonderful toy store in the world (Dustin Hoffman) and his journey to hand over the reigns of his toy empire to his young and insecure protégée (Natalie Portman). After the toy store literally comes to life and throws a temper tantrum, Portman – with the help of friends – is challenged to find the magic within her to save the store.

The 2008 Summer Movie in the Park, sponsored by the CPN Master Association and Dr. Andrew Dunbar of Castle Pines Orthodontics, will play on the big screen at Coyote Ridge Park on Saturday, August 9, beginning at dusk – about 8:30 p.m. Air castles and concessions from Solid Life Christian Center will kick off the evening at 6 p.m.
