Strong Foundation, strong community
Douglas County is known for its incredible communities, world class outdoor amenities and amazing residents.
One of the notable characteristics of those who call Douglas County home is their desire to make our future better through philanthropy. Your community partner in philanthropy is Douglas County Community Foundation (DCCF).
In recent years, DCCF experienced an organizational update which brought more financial granting and non-financial support and resources to the hundreds of nonprofits that are helping those in need in Douglas County.
DCCF has expanded its partnership with Douglas County government and is pleased to now administer the annual Philip S. Miller grant. We also recently signed IGAs with the City of Castle Pines, the Town of Castle Rock and Douglas County to help ensure that NO donor contributions are spent on administrative costs. We commend them all for their leadership and support of nonprofits in Douglas County. And, we have vastly expanded our corporate partnerships and matching opportunities to help maximize the impact your contributions make.
In 2022, DCCF provided 99 grants to local nonprofits totaling more than $365,000. We also spearheaded Douglas County Gives as part of Colorado Gives Day and helped raise more than $1.3 million for Douglas County nonprofits. DCCF also established a Community Emergency Relief fund last year with a goal of raising a $10 million endowment to have at the ready for when Douglas County communities are faced with a community crisis –much like the recent tornado activity in Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree. Natural disasters and other community emergencies can have a devastating impact on our fellow neighbors, and this fund will allow DCCF to provide much needed financial assistance right away, to help during trying times.
