Story time at Ziggi’s Coffee
As a former school teacher, education is near and dear to Michelle Wiley’s heart.
“I really enjoyed reading to my three kids as they grew and loved coming across books they enjoyed reading over and over,” stated Wiley, owner of Ziggi’s Coffee in Castle Pines.
Wiley recalls how much fun her children had – and still have – dressing up in costume. “I wanted this story time to be different with a theme of Princesses and Superheros,” so kids are encouraged to come in costume.
Wiley brings a variety of books and focuses on having several that are engaging so kids can move and act along with the characters. “We pretend to put on our boots, climb, swim, stir, stretch, make faces and so much more. At the end, we do a little movement goodbye rhyme to close the storytime portion,” she said.
The ultimate goal for story time, according to Wiley, is educational fun and movement for kids in our community; a time for hard working moms, dads and grandparents to get a little break; and getting to know more people through this local, family-owned business.
