RCHS girls varsity volleyball made it to the state finals for the first time in school history. The Jags fell short to undefeated Valor Christian High School, but are ranked #2 among 5A teams in the state of Colorado.

“This is a talented group of ladies with such chemistry,” said Angela Hanson, girls varsity volleyball coach. “They encouraged and supported each other like a family, which made them a formidable team.”

The Jags went 24-5 in the overall season and were 12-0 at home. The Jags beat Chaparral High School and Cherry Creek High School in the playoffs, followed by clinching the semifinals against Grandview High School. “This is such a great group of girls who played with heart and showed everyone what they had,” concluded Hanson.
