Spring Break Activities

For many, Spring Break will fall sometime in March. Many Castle Pines North residents are looking for activities that will entertain the whole family. Here are a number of options close to home, as well as to CPN’s north and south.


Recreation

Sir Bouncealots and Castle Crafts Café is located at 3194 N Industrial Way Unit O, behind Midas, directly across from Children’s World and the Gymnastics building. They feature four large inflatables, one of which is set up to race as well as a smaller slide with a ball pit for the little ones. There is a café area near the inflatables with a coffee and beverage bar and computers to use while the kids play. Air Time Party Place is located at 1733 S. Perry St #101, behind the Safeway store in south Castle Rock. There are five inflatables to enjoy, one of which is for toddlers only, as well as a bungee trampoline for those who really like to fly. Rock’n & Jam’n Indoor Climbing located at 7390 S. Fraser St, Unit E in Centennial. This is a fun option to try. Culture

Denver Museum of Nature & Science is located at 2001 Colorado Blvd in Denver. In addition to standard exhibits make sure to visit the Body World 2 and Black Holes exhibits. The Wildlife Experience located closer to home at 10035 S. Peoria in Parker. The museum has exhibits featuring Art and the Animal, Jungles, Predators, as well as an IMAX theater with rotating films. For details call 720-488-3300 or log onto their website at www.thewildlifeexperience.org.

The Colorado Railroad Museum located at 17155 W 44th Ave in Golden. It is recognized as one of the best privately supported rail museums in the United States. Featuring over 70 historic narrow and standard gauge locomotives and cars is a must see for any train aficionado. On April 15th the museum will feature a train ride with a special guest on the Bunny Express. Other upcoming special events include train rides for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Outdoor Fun

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo located at 4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Rd in Colorado Springs is a fun zoo to visit with a beautiful location. The zoo is not as large as the Denver Zoo, which makes a nice alternative for families who want to explore at a more leisurely pace. Santa’s Workshop and The North Pole at 382 Pikes Peak Hwy Toll Rd in Manitou Springs is an amusement park for all ages with many rides, fun food, live reindeer, and even a visit with Santa. For details call 719-684-9432 or log onto their website at www.santas-colo.com.
