Castle View High School
Coach Mark Burfeind said, “I loved coaching Arianna this season. She was the player who was always asking how she could improve, and she would also stay after practice to work on aspects of her game.”
Lutheran High School
Coach Scott Horman said, “Luke is a tremendous leader and hard worker and that will translate great for him in college. He continues to amaze me with his work ethic! He just doesn’t practice with us and then go home; he hits the weight room and is always taking extra batting practice. That’s what elite players do.”
Rock Canyon High School
Coach Amanda Mundaca said, “Mia is a four year member of the Rock Canyon cheer program and will attend Western Colorado University where she is committed for cheer. Mia is a hard worker and has been a wonderful member of our program.”
Macy Fallin said, “From the moment I stepped on campus at OU I knew it was where I wanted to be. Trying out and making the pom team at OU was also one of the coolest things I’ve had the opportunity to experience. The girls and faculty there are like a family and were so genuinely welcoming of the rookies. Even after the first team meeting, I could already tell the team had so much chemistry, not to mention talent. I am so excited to start this journey with OU Pom.”
Coach Nicole Vanderpoel said, “Grace has been one of the most determined, hard working and talented swimmers for RCHS! Not only has Grace been a member of our Varsity Team and 5A State Team since her Freshman Year, she has placed top 6 at Continental A-League and top 16 at 5A State in the 200 IM, 100 Butterfly, 100 Breast Stroke and Medley Relay all 4 years in High School. Grace is also the recipient of the Varsity Rockstar of the Year award.”
Coach Amanda Mundaca said, “Sam is a four year varsity cheerleader in the Rock Canyon cheer program and will attend Navarro College where she is committed for cheer. Sam is not only an incredible addition to the varsity cheer team but is also a member of a worlds all star team.”
Coach Matthew Siracusa said, “Trey is a quiet young man who leads by example both on and off the field which can be seen by his 3.6 GPA. As a senior captain this season, Trey was responsible for covering the top player on every team and excelled week in and week out. Trey is an amazing representation of the Rock Canyon Lacrosse community and we couldn’t be prouder of him for going to play this game at the next level. Trey will be greatly missed by his coaches and teammates. We love you Wubby.”
Coach Amanda Mundaca said, “Megan is a four year member of the Rock Canyon cheer program and will attend San Diego State University where she is committed for cheer. Megan is a true teammate, always willing to do whatever is needed of her from her team and her program.”
Valor Christian High School
Coach Bree Odell said, “Kierlyn’s go-getter attitude and positivity was an inspiration to the other girls and pushed them to the next level in class. I am so proud of her and what she has accomplished this year. I love that she has such a passion for dance and was given the opportunity to continue to grow that passion at Abilene Christian University. She will be a wonderful addition to the dance team and I am cannot wait to see what her future brings – not only on the team, but over her next four years.”
Coach Greg Coplen said, “Max exhibited a great amount of senior leadership this year. A very talented athlete, but more than that, just a very good human being.”
