Spreading joy through music
The Timber Trail Elementary (TTE) music program spread joy throughout the school and community this past holiday season.
On December 6, and led by choir instructor Camille Ringenberg, the students performed for the school and then for their families who joined in for favorite songs like “Fifty Nifty United States” and “The Bat.” Fourth grade student Yanira Mendis explained, “We had really fun props, and I like choir because Ms. Ringenberg makes it very fun and exciting.”
The choir also took part in the annual holiday tradition: the school sing-along, which included nine holiday songs including the favorite “Jingle Bell Rock.” Fifth grader Emma Enquist said, “I love to sing as it is my passion for everyone to hear my voice.”
The sound of music even traveled outside the walls of TTE. The first grade students carried their tunes to Legacy Village. Led by Ringenberg, residents joined in for one last holiday sing-along of the season, including favorites “Jingle Bells” and “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.” Santa even made an appearance handing out welcome high fives and fist bumps to the first grade singers.
