South Suburban Celebrates Senior & Women’s Wellness


South Suburban Parks and Recreation celebrates three days of fitness and wellness during the first week of May. All events are free and open to the general public.

On Tuesday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to noon at Lone Tree Recreation Center, 10249 Ridgegate Circle, attendees can visit a variety of booths with a myriad of fitness resources.

The Wednesday, May 5 celebration, at Buck Recreation Center, 2004 W. Powers Ave., Littleton, will include a resource fair with an array of informational booths and screenings. On the following Saturday, May 8, from 9 am to noon, women’s health will be the focus at Buck Recreation Center.

Susie Wargin of 9 News will kick off the event with a 9 a.m. key note speech that will be complemented by a sampling of fitness classes, testing and orientations. Attendees will enjoy nutritious snacks and soothing chair massages. A variety of health services organizations will be available to answers questions and provide information.
