Senior center opens in Highlands Ranch

The Highlands Ranch Senior Center opened in January for residents 55+. Fitness classes, educational resources and relaxing by the fire are just some of the offerings of the new facility.
On January 13, 2025, the Highlands Ranch Senior Center (HRSC) opened its doors for those 55 and older. Located on the south side of Highlands Ranch Parkway and east of Broadway, the 22,000-foot facility is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
In 2017, the Highlands Ranch Metro District’s board of directors identified the need for a stand-alone senior center to serve the needs of the community’s growing adult population, and for the Metro District to take the lead in developing the HRSC in partnership with other local agencies.
Many activities and resources are available: fitness classes, enrichment and educational programs, health screenings, social events and day trips, to name a few. If a slow and easy day is on the docket, it is also encouraged to grab a coffee, sit by the fire and socialize.
The annual membership is $60 for Highlands Ranch residents and $72 for non-residents. To purchase a day pass, it is $2.50 for Highlands Ranch residents and $3 for non-residents. Monthly memberships are also available. You can schedule a tour of the HRSC before deciding on a membership choice.
To register for HRSC, visit highlandsranch.org/myactivecenter or call 303-791-2416. Even if a class or activity is free, you must register online or in person. The address is 200 E. Highlands Ranch Parkway. If you would like to volunteer at HRSC, call Lyndsey George, 720-468-4824.
