Throughout November and December, five Castle Pines elementary school children will be raising money for the Los Pisingos Orphanage in Bogota, Colombia. They have teamed up with Lynch Creek Farms to sell holiday decorations.
Kristen Anderson says, “We are doing this to help raise money for a wonderful orphanage in Colombia. Two people on the fundraising team were adopted from Los Pisingos. They were treated with love and care and we want to ensure that the other children there get the same attention and love and care like they did.”
The Los Pisingos Orphanage was founded as a legal nonprofit institution in Bogota, Colombia in May 1968. The mission of this organization from its onset has been to improve the quality of life for the children, women, and families who seek the adoption alternative, by creating a bridge for new life opportunities. Los Pisingos is unique in its ability to achieve this bridge by providing two major programs, a Home for Mothers Program and an Adoption Program.
The decorations the kids are selling can be ordered through the Lynch Creek website at www.lynchcreekwreaths.com using the coupon code 43192. The Los Pisingos Orphanage will receive 25 percent of all orders placed.
