Save your $20’s for the 20th!

This information has been provided by the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce.

Mark your calendars for Castle Pines North (CPN) new boost to our local economy. It kicks off on Friday, August 20, and it is called “$20 on the 20th.”

The idea is to spend $20 you had not planned to spend on local goods or services in CPN. On the 20th of the month, merchants will be offering specials to encourage those sales. The spirit of the day is to indulge a little with individual splurges.

Go out for a meal, get a pedicure, buy someone a gift, or buy a little something for yourself. If even 15% of CPN residents participate, it can infuse thousands of dollars into the local economy.

The Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce is hoping to instill the message to “try and always buy locally”, said Chamber President, Sharon Kollmar. “If we make a conscious decision to support our local businesses, more good things will happen in Castle Pines North and that’s important. Local businesses contribute to the community in ways far beyond providing employment. They provide goods, services, support charity events, school activities and other enterprises that mold this community and help ensure its future.”

More detailed information about this program will be released in the Castle Pines Connection August issue so be sure to check it out! $20 on the 20th will be an expenditure we can all feel good about.
