Sassy Soiree raises money, impacts lives

Castle Pines Village friends and neighbors joined to help support the Sassy Soiree fundraising event.

by Terri Wiebold

Approximately two hundred and seventy-five people attended the Sixth Annual Sassy Soiree fundraising event to benefit the Douglas/Elbert Task Force this year, raising nearly $34,000.

Event goers shopped in the “thrift boutique” and perused the silent auction tables for treasures, before enjoying a catered lunch and fashion show. All clothing modeled and items sold in the clothing and jewelry boutiques were items that had been donated to the Douglas/Elbert Task Force Thrift Store.

The mission of the Douglas/Elbert Task Force is to meet the immediate needs of residents of Douglas and Elbert county who are in financial distress or at risk of becoming homeless; to help them work through troublesome times with dignity.
