Saddle Up for Loads of Fun at the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo



Dust off the hat and boots and head down to Castle Rock for the annual Douglas County Fair and Rodeo.

For more than 65 years, this event has attracted folks from far and wide. This year, the rodeo will be held August 3 to August 12 and will feature a host of activities including rodeos, carnival rides, stick-horse rodeos for the little cowpokes, parades and more.

Enjoy free admission to a variety of events, including 4-H rodeos, tractor pulls, bull riding and more. The kids can also enjoy carnival rides and refreshments.

Professional rodeos will be held August 10-12. On Saturday, August 11, the rodeo parade will make its way through downtown Castle Rock beginning at 10 a.m. Later that night, a concert featuring the country music group Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will preform at the fairgrounds. “Free Day at the Fair” will be held on the final day of the event – Sunday, August 12.
