For years, the Rueter-Hess Reservoir (RHR) was nothing more than gorgeous scenery.  However, this summer, residents will be able to do more than admire the landscape.  The much-anticipated RHR is slated to begin opening its gates on a limited basis as part of the Town of Castle Rock’s and the Town of Parker’s Recreation Center programming.  RHR may be the classroom for programs such as stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking.  While the grand opening of RHR for general public day-use is still two-to-three years away while the necessary infrastructure is developed, residents are excited for the opportunity to dip their toes in the water.  Learn more about the RHR Recreation Master Plan at www.pwsd.org/2283/RHR-Recreation-Master-Plan—January-201.
