The Rotary Club of Castle Pines (RCCP) hosted Erin Kane, superintendent of the Douglas County School District (DCSD), at a November meeting.

Kane provided a “State of the District” overview: DCSD was rated the top scoring district in the Denver/Metro area and is rated #11 on the list of the 250 “most envied” school districts in the country by Test Prep Insights. Kane shared additional success in improvements for DCSD, such as pay increases for teachers and staff and increased security support.

When asked what small project RCCP could do to help DCSD, Kane suggested assisting Timber Trail Elementary with a landscape project.
