Rotary Ducky Derby Saturday, June 11

Information provided by the Rotary Club of Castle Pines

The Ducky Derby is the largest annual fundraiser sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Castle Rock and Castle Pines.  Donations are made to the event, which support local Castle Rock charities.  Participating clubs include the Rotary Club of Castle Rock, the Castle Rock High Noon Rotary, and the Rotary Club of Castle Pines.

These clubs are part of Rotary International, a world wide humanitarian organization with over 1.2 million members.  Proceeds from the Ducky Derby event will be used to support local charities.

Here is how the race works:  When making a donation, you will be given a numbered ticket. A rubber ducky is entered into the ducky race with the number on your ticket affixed to the bottom of the ducky.  Donations are $5 for one ticket and $20 for five tickets.  One ticket – one ducky.

All the duckies are dumped into Plum Creek and they ride the current a half mile to the finish line. The first three duckies earn cash prize money.  In addition, the first and second place duckies have a chance to earn fabulous additional prizes.

You need not be present to win, as winners will be notified by phone.  To purchase your tickets, go to www.rotaryclubofcastlerock.org.
