Roses are red, violets are blue; it’s Valentine’s Day, so what should I do?

Enjoy a romantic tea or yummy brunch this year at beautiful Cherokee Ranch and Castle on Saturday, February 12. Relax and savor the tea and splendor of the castle, while sipping champagne at Take-your-Sweetie to Tea. Tasty finger sandwiches, scones, assorted pastries and teas will be served – an added highlight is a tour of the castle after tea.
The Valentine’s Brunch features three types of quiche, as well as an assortment of fruit and scones, juice, jams, coffee and tea, and a tour of the castle. This intimate, unforgettable venue is one of the treasures of Douglas County.
Sweep your little girl off her feet at the Daddy Daughter Ball – Magic in the Moonlight held at the Douglas County Events Center in Castle Rock. Fathers and daughters can enjoy an enchanting evening of dancing and having fun together. There will be refreshments, music, pictures and prizes. Two other Father-Daughter Sweetheart Balls can be enjoyed at the Southridge Recreation Center in Highlands Ranch. On February 5, two balls are being offered, one at 12:30 p.m. and the other starting at 5:30 p.m. The little lovelies will receive a corsage, a father-daughter photo and a special gift. On Saturday, February 12, the Southridge Recreation Center in Highlands Ranch is hosting its annual Sweetheart Teddy Bear Tea from 10:30 a.m. to noon for mom, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles and the kids. Be sure to bring a camera and enjoy the after tea kid’s show. Call 303-471-8859 for tickets.
