Rock of Hope Gala brings in nearly $2.25 million
The Rock of Hope Gala, a charity event benefitting cancer care in Castle Rock, was a stunning showing of compassionate, activated and generous guests. The charity event raised nearly $240,000 to support bringing expert cancer care to AdventHealth Castle Rock.
The Douglas County Board of Commissioners made a gift commitment of $1M on January 28 to the Rock of Hope Campaign which unlocked a $1M match from benevolent residents Lisa and Randy Schrader, bringing the gala total to $2.25M. To date, The Rock of Hope Campaign has raised more than $10M toward its $14M goal.
“Heartfelt thanks to our gala event committee and especially to co-chairs, Melissa Sanchez and Marcy Blair,” stated Furlong. “The afterglow of the Gala will illuminate our way forward toward bringing cancer care to Castle Rock.”
