RHMS spells W-I-N-N-E-R

Congratulations to the Rocky Heights Middle School spelling bee winners. Principal Chris Cooke, Luke Houston (7th grade), Aayush Singh (7th grade), Addison Miller (8th grade), and Language Arts teacher Sara Haynes. Luke holds his RHMS second place title for the second year in a row. Addison defeated other spellers in a three-round tiebreaker for third place. These super spellers will compete in the school district spelling bee on Saturday, February 6.
Seventh grade student Linus Denault participated in the RHMS annual spelling bee. This year’s “COVID Bee” was in-person, but physically distanced and all participants wore masks. No spectators were invited. Teacher Sara Haynes said, “It was so fun to do something almost normal during this crazy time.”
