RCHS varsity cheer striving for state

Above and below:  Rock Canyon High School (RCHS) varsity cheer at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Southern Colorado Regionals on October 31 in Pueblo where they won the super varsity division, best choreography and earned a bid to the National High School Cheerleading Championships in February 2016 in Orlando, Florida, where the team finished 4th in the nation last year.

The Rock Canyon High School (RCHS) varsity cheer team just won its third consecutive Continental League Championship and are striving for the CHSAA State Championship.  The state championship will be December 11 and 12 at the Denver Coliseum.  

Emily Novotny of Hidden Pointe said, “This season we have some really big goals and have been working extremely hard to reach them.  This team has great chemistry and we all work really well together.  We have the best coaches who have dedicated themselves to providing us with the opportunity to be unforgettable this year.”  For more information, visit http://cheer.rchsjags.com/.

Rock Canyon High School varsity cheer team on November 7 at the Battle on the Rock competition at Douglas County High School where the team earned 1st place.  This was the second competition for the team and their second 1st place finish.
