Rock Canyon High School (RCHS) students rocked a full house on February 21 at the Marriott Denver Tech Center with their Fifth Annual RCHS Fashion Show, Luncheon and Silent Auction.

The fashion show, consisting of 123 models from each of the four grade levels, provided their own music, choreography and attire as they put on a very lively, fun-filled show for their audience. Music and costumes included a wide variety of themes such as Indiana Jones, Lion King, Disneyland, school sports, and simply jeans, Converse shoes and bright colored shirts.

In order to participate in the show, students were required to sell four tickets each at the price of $40 per person. All proceeds from the event go to this year’s after prom party.

The after prom party provides the students with a safe event to attend after their prom and is held at the school. This party includes food, a casino, theatre, games in the gym, photos, prizes, and even chair massages. It is great fun for the kids and the seniors get special recognition in their own senior hall.

While no profit is made from the luncheon, quite a bit is made from the silent auction, corporate sponsors and themed baskets (pictured below) that were raffled, including “off to college” baskets for boys and girls. This year’s event which sold 328 tickets raised more than $21,000 dollars! Congratulations to the students for their successful effort.

RCHS cheerleaders received a lot of cheers from the audience during their trip down the runway.

Themed gift bags and baskets were sold and raffled as part of the fundraising event.
