Rattlesnake Warning!

by Lane Roberts

The Master Association has received reports of rattlesnake sightings in yards in the Serena neighborhood of Daniel’s Gate. Snakes come out of hibernation in May and June as the weather warms and rely mostly on rodents for food. Rattlesnake babies have venom and are dangerous from birth.

Please use caution with small children playing outside and do not let pets run off leash. Call Douglas County Animal Control at 303-660-7500 to remove a snake or immediately dial 911 if bitten. For additional rattlesnake information, go to www.cpnhoa.org.
