Raising funds for children in Africa

The Rise Up Malawi annual fundraiser was held at Top Golf in Centennial in October. More than 150 golfers participated to support educational programs for children in the world’s fourth poorest nation.
“In Malawi, education is not a right, it is a miracle,” said Megan Mathis, co-founder and director of the nonprofit, who lives in HOA2. The event raised enough funds to send 50 additional children to school.
